dfoland93 Posted January 3, 2012 Report Posted January 3, 2012 So me and my friend showed up at this elementry school in my neighborhood and 3 undercover cop cars and 4 cops got out and started searching our cars and asked us what we were doing. They found my knife its a kershaw clash assisted knife. The blade is 3" long and when closed the knife 4". I told him i cary it for self defence. Im 18 and he said he could take me to jail on a fellony if he wanted. But since me and my friend were so cooperative they werent going to. My question(s) is/are... 1. what can i say that is legal and i wont get in trouble for carrying a knife? 2. can i really go to jail for having the knife and saying its for self defence? The spot with least resistance LOL. I would ground to a rubber dildo if it had less resistance than a run of 4/0 wiring. how many poeple work there 3 or 4 lol At crescendo HQ? probably 2-3 At the sweatshop in china? 30,000 children No Engine

I had a razor knife in my from pocket clipped on the inside... I was walking to lunch LOL he told me "I understand you are working.. but other cops would write you up... just put it in your pocket" ... I was shocked TBH

I would try that. So...where did these cops get their certifications? Point being, being a peace officer required to ensure enforcement of the law does not mean they are professors on the letter of the law. Not to mention, many laws are open ended and as such are given meaning by each individual's interpretation. That being said, if you are not breaking any laws, match the description of a current suspect, or give reason/probable cause then any search is illegal when performed. Which would also throw out whatever charge he would attempt to place you under arrest for. You would be better off Googling the laws in your state to ensure they are applicable. Gun and weapon laws are different here, but hey, it's Alaska Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
