onyx1silverado
On my Pioneer AVH-P4200DVD HU the subwoofer goes from negative 20 to positive 6. If I turn it up to 6, is that when I'll get the most power from the sub preout or will that be just like a bass boost. Decaf
^^^why at zero instead of the h/u's max spot??...ive always wondered this because if you use anything higher than 0 on this headunit you couldn't turn the volume up as much because the signal would clip/distort. You want the highest preout voltage possible so your amp amplifies the least. At lower volumes, or with quieter music you could go into the + range, but not at max full tilt CLEAN volume
