Also clamped a single 5k in that setup pulling 7040 watts @ a little over 1ohm. Once you dip below the resting voltage of your batteries, you know that your alternator is maxed out and you are now relying on your battery bank to supply the rest of the power needed. The more batteries you have, the longer you will be able to sustain a higher voltage= MORE POWER FOR LONGER!!!! Personally I say no voltage drop is the only way to go. For me it took making the only triple bracket for an F150 that I have ever seen, 2 Singer 350a alts and 10 XS POwer D1400s. I drop from 15.8-15.6 full tilt after a few songs.
