technogod
So i decided to buy DD-1 and Helix crossover setup sys.i have got my dd-1 and waiting for the Helix. i did watch a youtube video,Steve was adjusting the amplifier with those two equipment. i am curious about how you did that with the 1 CH MONO SUB AMP.i read the manual and the nature of dd-1 and x-just sounds like ya cannot use both . do ya guys have any idea? matt14
I know he has a helix, but Diddnt know he used it with the dd1. I know he used the cc1, which I believe is the same as the helix. You tune with the dd1 first then use the helix, or the cc1. kickass audio
Just like Matt said. You have to set the gain on the amp so that its not clipping with the amp set to fullpass then you can adjust the x-over settings on the amp and any other devices after you know its not clipping. Not at all. They both operate totally different. Besides the way it works, the CC-1 also has extra features built into it besides just crossover calibration I dont even want to get into the price difference either...anyway, just thought i would chime in on the subject. technogod
OK.Thanks for the reply . The reason i am asking becuz, most of the 1 ch sub amplifiers does not have crossover swith.i mean you cannot bypass.already set to lpf internal. If i use the DD-1 first and set the gain,i have to readjust the gain for the calibration of the Helix x-just. If i adjust the x-over with helix first and set the crossover parameters, when i use the DD-1 i have to set the crossover frequency all the way up and does not make sense. there is only one way to adjust both it seems.if you set the frequency with helix(forexample to 60)and after if you set the Gain with DD-1 without changing the x-over level to all the way up it looks like it works. My question is if i dont turn the frequency knob all the way up(set to 60hz) does the DD1 works or not? This is not a rocket science.I know its easy but it does not make sense somehow. i wish i can buy CC-1 now and solve my problem.i am in the middle of a tricky setup that i have to finish.i need the machine so much and thats why i bought the Helix(still waiting to get). please help me in this . thanks guys.
