Finding a HO Alternator for a car that doesn't usually have bass!

Recommended Posts

No money for a good alternator, but money for a big battery? Depending on the battery, it might just be the better option to get the alternator. Unless you also want to get a charger and charge the battery nearly all night.

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

big batteries cost as much as a new alt. I remember when i had voltage issues, it took me 3 months to bite the bullet and buy a HO 200amp. lets just say i can run full tilt not dipping below 13.9v at idle, charging is at 14.2v. and that's on about 3400rms total (bass amp and mids/highs). a few of these alt companies can make custom stuff if you need it.

edit: took branding out, dont want to sway a decision between mech, dc power, singer, etc.

if DC is cheaper than mechman just do it. and please pay attention to your cars idle speed because you might end up with a paper weight. Depending on your cars idle will effect the alts turn on speed. Someone else kinda learned this the hard way.
