teamace24 Posted January 21, 2012 Report Share Posted January 21, 2012 Was using my skar 15 600rms sub on my old box i made and designed by an smd member for another sub i had(kicker cvx 15). The box was 3.5 cubes, 15 inches of port per, and 35-36hz tuning. Running around 7-800rms to the sub. I want to build a new box for my skar since i liked the other sub i had in this box better than the skar i replaced it with so i figured i should just make the very best box i can with the skar. Can any one let me know what is the very best specs for a box for my skar 15 if im looking for the loudest output i can possibly get while still sounding decent in a daily driver. I want the box to be able to play the 38hz and up frequencies very loudly since it will be for various regular daily music which tends to be around that area. Of course if it can hit the 30hz to 36hz music loudly it will be great as well but i really want it to hit the higher bass very loudly for the most part. So question is what tuning, port area, and volume would make the ideal box for loud output on 6-800rms. It will still hit those notes as it is all in the box. The VVX line was made to be a low end monster but that doesn't mean its high notes are bad. I used to have mine peaking at 39hz and everywhere from 28-45 hurt. You can always contact me about perhaps getting bassheadsENT to design a box for you. Robin, the workhorse of BHE is working on my wall as we speak and he has designed 4-5 enclosures for other team skar guys.
