30Hz.wav
Building this box for a friend, he currently has it in a sealed box. This is going in the back seat of his truck, but we are keeping the 1 seater up and letting the box sit up so it can fire port up, and subs front. I have it tuned to 34Hz, and Net Volume of 3.49. The JL Audio Website recommends 1.75 cubit feet for a ported box on each sub. http://www.jlaudio.com/12w3v3-4-car-audio-w3v3-subwoofer-drivers-92154 Can anyone let me know if the box checks out ok, wanna start building this asap. Thanks! Any help is appreciated. Here's what I came up with:
pa-pa-platypus
joo forgot woofer displacement This isn't teeball. YOU DO NOT GET A TROPHY JUST BECAUSE YOU SHOW UP. Put the work in and then maybe get the respect when it has been earned 151.6 with single 12 at 41 hz 153.2 with 2 12's at 43 hz power: dd m4
Joe X
0.071 cift per sub. Also why the side port, you will need like 4-5" of free airspace in front of the outer end for it to stay tuned.
30Hz.wav
joo forgot woofer displacement dammit, your right lol. I typed it in, and it didn't change much. It set me back to 3.35 net volume. Not too worried about that.

Also why the side port, you will need like 4-5" of free airspace in front of the outer end for it to stay tuned. In my previous post, I mentioned that port will fire up and subs face forward. Gonna sit in the back of a truck where the 1 seater flips up.
Sergeant_Skyrim
Says your port will bbe 18.5x2.5...seems like you might have issues with port noise with a ratio like that Build in progress
Joe X
Right I missed that part sorry. 3 things should be also noted: 1) as pointed out the H/W ratio of the port should be <= 9. 2)the sub cutouts seem near check for overlapping of the external duameters (12.5 in) 3)also bracing / double baffle are options to consider.
