MD7786
Distribution block? And how many fuses and where. I was gonna do pos/ and neg/ from front one to trunck. Where do I put the fuse holders and fuses.
mlstrass
You need to fuse each end of the POS run, somewhere near the batts.
Lbox88
On the + run from front batt to back batts, put a fuse within 18" from the front one, and then another fuse within 18" of the back batts so that if there is a short in between, all batts are safe. varietyguy
No need for distribution block if you have good terminals. put fuses about 6-18 inches from each battery (2 per run, no need for negative side.) bre2ts
A h/o alternator Quote Feedback 1 | Feedback 2 you win some, you lose some
Miguels
yeah you should think about H/O alt, no matter how big the battery bank is if you don't have the alt to back it up it wont do anything for you but kill your stock alt, you will need to keep an eye on your voltage or you can kiss your stock alt good bye, by the way why yellow top? i have had problems with them not keeping voltage after being drained 1 time Quote my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
MD7786
Well I get a real cheap price on them. ($50) and seeing as the ho aalt i looked at wwas $500 I figured this might help. The only problem I have now is lights dimming so i was gonna do 2 yellows and bbig 3 in the next week.
MD7786
Plus I'm only running a jl 1000/1 on a 1300 rms 15.
Miguels
the batteries will be just another load on your alternator and if it cant produce the necessary amperage to charge them it will be working extra hard and not lasting long. for what you need it for you dont need a big alt just around 200a that shouldn't be over $350 Quote my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
