Need help with T-Line calculations

I'm wanting to expand my knowledge on these types of boxes. I've been itching to learn something new and a T-Line seemed like the way to go! I read and wrote down the entire sticky thread on T-Lines by Foreverbumpn, but there's one thing I can't seem to figure out. How do I convert the port area into the actual dimensions of the box? I understand the basic concept of the box, but that is the only thing stopping me right now. I'd also like to know that if I'm building a T-Line for two subs, do I double up on the total cone area? I'm wanting to build a T-Line for a single SA-8v.2 and can't seem to figure out where to start!

Area= length x height. Figure out what hight will work for you then divide the area by that. That will give you the width. Then you just need to get creative and fold the straight line into something that works for you. Honestly a t-line might not be the best option for a SA-8, and even if it will work you might have some issues trying to get that giant motor to fit.(or you could always run it inverted)

Yeah a L port would be best suited for that.

agreeing with what's been said, it's really about getting creative after you have your port area figured out. I usually just take my dimensions and draw up a 2D model of what I want my line to look like, the I do the math to figure out what the max dimensions of any specific design will be, and if I like what I see, it goes right into sketchup. As for using the SA-8s, yes you would just double the port area, and it definitely sounds like you would have some issues getting them to fit with their giant motors.
