UnderLoK
Hey i put my block to chassis ground and ran it from my alt mount to my negative terminal. does this still work fine. No, you want alt->ground (frame or if unibody to strut tower) and batt->ground (frame or if unibody to strut tower) While informative the OP needs a massive update. UnderLoK
so should i just pick a spot on my engine block and ground it to the chassis? Chassis? I didn't say anything about chassis bro, read what I said again. If you can't reach the strut tower (the bolts coming up through the wheel well) then you want chassis->ALTERNATOR and chassis->battery.. When they say "engine" that should really be as close to the alternator as you can get rather than just some random spot on the motor. The OP is informative but wrong. Best options is FRAME->ALT BOLT (or alt ground if the alt has a bolt on it for that), FRAME->BATT (negative), and then ALT->BATT (positive) Second best is STRUT TOWER->ALT BOLT, STRUT TOWER->BATT (negative), and then ALT->BATT (positive) Third best is CHASSIS->ALT BOLT (or alt ground if the alt has a bolt on it for that), CHASSIS->BATT (negative), and then CHASSIS->BATT (positive) #1 is only an option if you have a full frame. If at first you do not succeed, you are doing it wrong! -ARSCheck out my walled TBSS build over here4 Fi Team 18s on 2 Cactus K9 DS18 doors on 2 MBQ 1Ks, Vifa pillars on a STL4.500 Pioneer X8500 6 XS Power D7500, 1 3400S Second Skin 2 270a Mechman Alts
