But I think the only permanent fix for it is to replace the RCA's on the back of it, which means tearing it apart and working from the inside of the H/U to the outside of it. That just seems like a little bit too much of a hassle to get into, but if it's gonna take awhile for your new one to get in, and you have the spare time, take it apart and give it a shot! Yes did you or previous owner "hot swap" the rcas I did not, and I doubt he did. The deck was in his car and it would do the same thing. He suspected his amp and even sent it in for repair.
