My question is, would 12" subs in a ported box be able to keep up and not sound like one note (or muddy) in a ported box? I am planning on buying 3 DC Level 4 dual 2ohm 12's, wired in series/parallel (1.33 ohms) to a DC 5.0K. I have a 2007 F150 extended cab that will have upgraded electrical when I do the build. I know tuning a box to around 30hz - 35Hz is supposed to be good for sound quality, and I'm not concerned about SPL #'s... I just want to be as loud as possible for the music I listen to. I want some opinions on this because I don't want to build a big ported box and not use it if the subs can't keep up. Thanks for your input!
