1/0 or 2/0 gauge

i will have saz-3000d fi sd 18 d2 at 1 ohm, 200a alt big 3 biggest batt i can get under the hood maybe one in back

would it be a good idea to get 2/0 instead of 1/0 power/ground wire

Depends on the price you can get the 2/0 for. You'll be fine with 1/0 all around tho.

little more difficult to manage....2/0 would need a reducer to fit 1/0 terminals, you would need ring terminals you'd pretty much have to order, it may not be as flexible as 1/0 but it would work just fine

price to performance, you can't argue with 1/0. 2/0 is usually more expensive than what it is worth in my opinion, but there are many who would argue otherwise. If you have a battery in the back then a single run of 1/0 should suffice.

I am running the same amp. I have 2 runs of 1/0 positive, and 2 runs of 1/0 negative with about 220 amps of alternator power with a single battery. It was fine with just one run of positive and negative before, but it did make a difference when I doubled up the runs.
