BobbyG2
A 4" would be fine for those subs, I'd only say a 4" would be too small if he were running like the Sundown 400W 8's, but those MTX's shouldn't be seeing near that power. 412 CVX
how bout you actually do it right... download torres box tuning calculator in the 'subwoofers/eclosures' section on the forum here. keep about 8-12" of port area per cube, then tune to desired frequency, usually between 33-40hz. Guess-n-check is just stupid when dealing with this stuff. Quote Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs. My temp system build log More box buildssome cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches! I'm with captain stupid. LoudBimmer
Damn lol I had 2 10's in the smaller box ~2.2cf Now they are in ~1.5-1.7 box
Smoove
My 2 8's are in 1.3cf and they are Fosgate HE 2's. Any real power on those MTX is gonna destroy them. You really should just build a new box spec'd for your 8's.
