...thats part of the reason why this forum is here, to help people and try to avoid taking it to shops or other people that dont know shit. doesnt matter if he's using sub out or front/rear preouts. the lpf will cut out unwanted frequencies.

damn so now we got people swingin from the guys nuts thats not helpfull at all? "and you just made me laugh trying to make fun of sani btw" really lol? wow how about a little more suckin there buddy.. Do you even actually know this guy who is in ATL while youre in illinois?! Are we grown people here? Can we take this from a nutswingin forum to a helpfull one? I did read your post and it was actually helpfull. I have the bass knob somewhere, I will try it out. What about the LPF on the amp? Can anyone tell me what it is actually used for?

too bad i have a little something called respect for other members unlike your ungrateful ass. its not nut swinging or whatever. if you're gonna keep being a little prick, by all means do so, just dont expect any help in the future. im being nice right now. keep the LPF at 80 and use the bass knob. avoid having the clip light solid on. lpf stands for low pass filter. essentially slowly cuts off frequencies higher than where its set at. so if its at 80 it will roll off the volume of the notes higher than 80hz. having the lpf too high can cause the woofers coils to heat up unnecessarily and if its bad enough (or no lpf is used) the woofer can blow.

Well This,

I just facepalmed in the middle of a grocery store.

Noobs gonna noob. Isn't respect nor helpfull to someone who is trying to avoid blowing up a 600 dollar speaker... Not needed at all. But thanks for the advice, I will go set it like this now and run it for a while to see if it fixes the problem. Appreciate the explanation on the LPF thing. My only problem now is that 1 15" BTL is not loud enough at all for me and I can't fit 2 in my trunk!

Your going to keep getting the "lol at the noob" comments till you stop getting buthurt about them...
Not butthurt, just not helpfull at all and no use to me or anyone else here. Why not just keep negative comments to yourself and let the people that are trying to help talk.. Whats the use?

it does matter. but you know all and ill leave it to you.

orly? how? front and rear are full pass unless the headunit has filters on it. sub out is the only one that has an lpf on it (sometimes, may depend if headunit has filters). and thanks for saying i know all, even though i really dont. theoretically, you can use any preout you want.

I have roughly the same setup and from my experience the aq2200d needs the gain up pretty high but i dont have any boost on. Sounds like a hu setting to me. I would suggest setting everything flat and working from there. Personally my gain is set at about 60% but i run a jl bass knob that puts out 7.5 volts all the way up.
