KenC210
so right now i got everything i have hooked up in my 2007 ford escape. i am wanting to transfer the subs and amps only over to my mustang. what i have are 2 aq sdc2.5 15's powered by a kicker zx1000.1 amp each. has anbody got any experience with this style of mustang? (2000-2004 body style). i was going to build a traditional rectangle box but it looks like i will only have 7.8 cu ft without port or any displacements. thats not enough for for the 2 aq 15's. i was thinking about doing a few areo ports but not sure how to do this or calculate it. anyone with experience willing to help out? mikeg321
I have an 02 and have been through multiple setup's and even if you cut up the opening to the trunk inside the car I dont think you'll be able to get a proper size box in the trunk. Even if you do manage to get a big enough enclosure in the trunk you most likely won't have room in the trunk for the amps so those will have to go on the back seat. Then you'll realize well fuck I can't use my back seat now so I might as well build a big ass box and put it where the the seats were ( my current setup) or build a wall (this spring) Edit: for grammar Edited February 8, 2012 by mikeg321 Quote 4 fully loaded Fi sp4 15's 2 Crescendo bc5500s Crescendo c1100.4 6 focal mids Vifa tweets 5 XS Power d3100's Pioneer avh-p4200dvd All crammed into a mustang. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/150569-mikeg321s-fi-nendo-mustang-getting-walled-videos-page-4/
TylerParrish
I've got a 2000 Mustang with 2 skar 12's in it and I had to cut some of the metal bracket on the seat away and even then I could hardly fit my box in. I couldn't imagine trying to fit 2 15's in that kind of area. Mariobjones
You have a mustang? I can't imagine 2-15s in that trunk. Even if you did a in trunk build, itd be difficult.

KenC210
who knows of the best way to completly seal off the trunk? maybe i could use the hole where the seats fold as the baffle for the subs and port and use the trunk as my enclosure. i know i would have to seal up where the rear speakers go and take them out, no spare tire and what not. Only way I could see that working would be to weld the trunk lid closed and maybe fiberglass the the rear deck and other openings. OrionStang
2 12's in a proper box will sound better than stuffing your 15's in a bullshit box. Quote SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
