RickyFriery97 Posted May 16, 2012 Report Posted May 16, 2012 some good info in here Question for ya, in my tahoe in running dual alts, secondary only for the truck, stock running the stock electricals due to the weird charging systems in the newer GM vehicals. in my secondary tray i have a D3400, its grounded with two 1/0 grounds on my dual bracket on the same bolt. would it be worth it to add a frame ground in there? and maybe a ground in between the bracket and frame? 2014 Chevy Silverado Crewcab 1994 Chevy Full Size blazer

You can test and see what is your goal from doing it? Looking for better voltage? The batteries neg is always the best place to ground to from the alt bracket but you could add a ground to frame to see if it helps, it all depends on your current demand and whether your amps are grounded to the frame or battery bank as well. I guess you could say better voltage. The alt is a Iraggi 300 amp witch has a very low idle output. I'll be replacing it soon.
