Thanks a lot man, glad you like it, yeah we wanted the box to look as clean as we could, we need to polish the paint a little bit, clean the car and test out some sexy ass dynamat, shooting for a 51 on the next show with this box and then, change to the other design i did in order to see if we can squeeze a few more tenths out of the rex with this same system. getlocivic Posted February 11, 2012 Report Posted February 11, 2012 4 years ago i ran a 1990 crx with 4 sony 12s wired to a old silver case memphis st1000d.. ported box with 3 4" aeros..tuned at 32hz and they lasted for 8 or 9 months.. didnt like anything below 28hz tho but from the 30 to 40hz range they killed.. i just wish crx's around here could be found that rust free lol Now that´s a great input bro, i haven´t tested playing low just yet, i´m doing it next week tho, but it´s great to know that they have taken the abuse before hehe, about the car, the owner was lucky enough to buy the car on that shape for less than 3K , he only had to fix the A/C and that´s about it i had the old style of sony p5.. when they had a red cone..and the "waves" in the cone....tubro design or whatever they were called.. shit i beat on them for 8 or 9 months and then sold them to my cousin to still to this day uses the same box and subs.. they are TOTALLY beat 2 death but they still play.. lotta people talk trash about lower line cheap subs.. just bc nobody has done testing with them to prove it.. you can have a 900 dollar sub and a shitty box and sound like ass.. then you can have a 30 dollar sub in a kick ass box..and sound like that 900 dollar sub in optimal box lol.. but damn 3k for a crx THAT clean... i had to spend 5000 to get 1 that was rotted out and had 1,000,000 miles on it..and wasnt all riced out..
