stereo1 Posted February 12, 2012 Report Share Posted February 12, 2012 (edited) The laugh is on him, in his haste to be a Linear Power hater he just showed his ignorance of electronic circuitry, he can't even tell an ouput stage from a power supply stage. Anyone can see from the circuitry that the fuses are on each output channel and provide the protection for each channel on the 30 x 4 watt amp. This was a common arrangement in those days from protection, Rockford Fosgate used 3 amp fuses on their speaker wiring harness on the Punch 150 and used 5 amp fuses between the power supply and each rail voltage to each channel. Nothing wrong with the three amp fuses in the output stage a 30 x 4 watt amp. No this amp was no power house, it wasn't made to be , it was for running full range and it made its rated power and a little more too. But don't let the 30x4 fool you it can push out some juice. It really pushes around 60x4 compared to todays amps. Linear Power For The Love of Music. They have new amps coming very soon.
