04murdalanche Posted February 13, 2012 Report Share Posted February 13, 2012 Just bought a 01 Silverado last night and i bought it to make a huge profit off of it but now im thinking of keeping it and dropping my system in it... very tempting since I've been wanting a silverado forever, just would perfer a ext cab or a tahoe but we'll see what happens.. Info on the truck 2001 silverado 4.3 v6/manual everything:( ORIGINAL OWNER 131,xxx miles Lowered 4-8 via DJM shaved tailgate and rollpan 03+ tail lights cleared head lights ss mirrors colormatched everything custom black interior with some billet accesories + many more im forgetting, build should start within a week after i get it running, it was part of the reason i got it so cheap but EVERYTHING is there and labeled in bags so, anyways, pics will be up tonight weather permitting.. heres a sneak peak anyways, equiptment list is in the sig and pics will be up shorty.. 04murdalanche Posted February 16, 2012 Author Report Share Posted February 16, 2012 A junkyard 4.8/5.3 swap is quite simple in these trucks its cake, just swap the harness basically.. by the time summer roles around, im sure ill be putting in a v8, now whether its a 4.8, 5.3, or even MAYBE a 6.0, time will tell.. being that I got as full ride for football in college, I also got federal aid, so thats a additional 5500 a year to play with.. ill save some, but the rest is for fun! thanks obama, at least he did something right.. lol will be starting on either my ipad dash or my custom door panels tomorrow, which do you guys think I should do first?
