Everything wired correctly and tuned with dd-1, but just started getting voice coil smell

you should not use that knob. its a signal booster at 45hz from 0-18db

reset with dd-1 not using bass knob and see how you like it, starting with -5db for safer setting until you stop smelling coil

I'm pretty sure this knob is a gain knob and not a bass boost, it doesn't go past the limit set on my amplifiers gain

It says 0 to 11 on it the same as the numbers for the gain on my amp.

whats ur model number, specifically the year

i missread when googling, you DO have a level control remote. just make sure you are not using the bass boost on amp nor heaunit

It's an 11zx1500.1 I was reading about this a while back to make sure and i found that its gain control, I could be wrong though, it is the Internet...

you're fine, been a long day and i confused the boost on amp with remote, just reset using -5db and that should get rid of the problem and your system will just be a bit quieter

or continue to use -10db and just dont go full tilt volume on every song unless you know its clean enough to do so

maybe your wire is what was smelling... too much power threw a small wire will burn it up.

^^10g wire is PLENTY for what hes doing

he wAS using a shitty mixtape track thats why he smelld coils.. even tho u have gains set with a dd1 it dont help any if you play clipped music lol..
