sprkn_ranger
Ok here is the first box I designed myself (Thanks Joe X for getting me started) with the torres calc and would like to make sure I did it right. Its for a DC LVL2 12" M2 and I'm going to be putting about 700 RMS to it and is going in a trunk with sub back port back: And here is a sketchup I did of it: Let Me know what you think, and what I might be able to do to improve upon it. Thanks! Edit-Zoomed in on torres calc to make it easier to read. Joe X
The spec will work but if you actually do the flush mount you will have a problem cutting the external front sheet and it will not be strong. You can just use a different assembly method or make a taller box.
Sanitarium
specs and sketchup look solid for a single mid range 12 of high end 10. go for it, you don't need our approval you got this shit.
sprkn_ranger
Joe, I was thinking about that cutout and I think I know what I'm going to do to make it work. Thanks for your input! And thanks for the confirmation Sanitarium! Its my first "real" box I've designed since I've been out if the loop and I really didn't know shit back then! Lol so it's nice to hear its a good design. Joe X gave me a good starting ground to work off of so my hats off to him! Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs. My temp system build log More box buildssome cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches! I'm with captain stupid.
