xJohn23
Well can you suggest one? Because there's nothing selling, in the sell/buy area.
SnowDrifter
How about this beast? http://www.sonicelec...-ATX1600.2.html It only has 40 amps of fusing, is not CEA compliant and they only give max power, not the rms rating. I don't think that amp will do 1600 watts even if struck by lightning repeatedly lol EDIT: OP, if you want to run stuff at home until you get a car, just get a cheap DJ amp. It's 1000x easier. I've been there/done that Edited February 20, 2012 by SnowDrifter Quote ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
412 CVX
In that price range you've got very few options and it's not going to matter too much what you get. i would personally go with the kenwood package listed above. the majority of how this thing will sound comes down to the box. if you have a good box design, it will make a cheap product sound top of the line Quote Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs. My temp system build log More box buildssome cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches! I'm with captain stupid. Quote there is some VERY hard headed people out there. Anyone who says a DD-1 isnt necessary is also saying an O-scope isnt necessary. Anyone who says an O-scope IN THE MINIMUM isnt necessary, is a noob. Forget the DD-1 for a minute, any reputable installer will at LEAST use an O-scope. Those guys in that thread are clowns. skittlesRgood
How about this beast? http://www.sonicelec...-ATX1600.2.html not a beast at all. 40 amps of fusing on the amps means it cant do more than 400w, at best. never, never, never, never go by MAX ratings. always go by RMS. you will not find a true 1000w amp in your price range. maybe at $200, used. is your power supply 1000w? skittlesRgood
ive never trusted the ratings on a hifonics amp. they used to say one thing on the website, another rating on the box, and if you call to ask they tell you a different rating. but it would be the best option closest to his budget. xJohn23
Alright guys, thanks for all your replies! I like that you are all helping me out because im a newbie and I really appreciate it. So, if i were to go with that bundle http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_33472_1600W-Kenwood-Subwoofers-and-Amplifier-Bass-Bundle.html?from=857 Its only 400w RMS total, and the amp is 4 ohms: 60 watts x 2 chan. 2 ohms: 75 watts x 2 chan. Bridged, 4 ohms: 150 watts x 1 chan. That doesn't sound real good? How would it be if i got this http://www.amazon.com/Pair-Kenwood-Kfc-w3013ps-Performance-Subwoofer/dp/B0052QKQJM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1329791397&sr=8-1 and http://www.amazon.com/Kenwood-Kac-9105D-1800-Watt-Class-Amplifier/dp/B0037ZRP7G/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1329791414&sr=1-2 for the amp? How would it work.
