RCP Audio
dam. no love? PSN: Rcp_soundz Good rule of thump is go by what fuse size is being used in these amps. The higher the more amperage it pulls, this is what I look at. I'll stick a 300 amp fuse in a potato and sell it to you for $2k. 1991 Mazda 323VERY small build thread here: http://www.stevemead...23-small-build/
BobbyG2
I love hatches! And I'm healous of your fuel economy, 14mpg with my Mountaineer LOL. Very few tweeters will like being ran down to 500Hz. I know a few Planar Transducer's can, and there's supposedly some of the best sounding tweeters available. But they are EXPENSIVE. This is one of the cheap ones: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=264-715 Might have to deal with running passive, or get a new amp with crossover capabilities. I'm partial to Sundown, and know they ship overseas, but again, they might be a little expensive for you. But a nice little system you have for sure! *New vehicle and system coming soon.*

Yeah im sticking with passive for now, but when i can ill get a new amp so i can run active wow, how the hell would i mount them in my small ass car anyway haha PSN: Rcp_soundz Good rule of thump is go by what fuse size is being used in these amps. RCP Audio
I got bored today and decided to add some rear fills. All i had lying around was a 5.1 Logitech system that i hadnt used for years. i thought what the hell. opened them up and re wired them, I have 4 of the units, each is 4 ohms. So i wired two together on the rear channels of my 4 channel amp. they are performing surprisingly well! I dont have them cranking coz i want to keep my front stage the main focus but you notice they are missing if i turn them off. anyway i only took a couple of pics but here ya go. dont hate they work and sound pretty nice, and are taking the power like champs which is surprising because they only got under 10rms from the Logitech amp they come with originally and now they are getting 50rms ish. if they handle the power for a bit longer then im going to make some kind of mount to put them on my parcel tray, which is under my rear seat line so ill have to raise them up somehow. anyway enjoy my boredom haha. Oh and the sub that came with this system also got re wired but didnt survive a single song (dk1800 wired at 2ohms = 1000w ish to a 7"sub) PSN: Rcp_soundz Good rule of thump is go by what fuse size is being used in these amps. RCP Audio
okay so with the current mid/high amp that i have the crossover is shit so i cant run active using the amps crossover. i would quite like to get some supertweets and nice mids but i would need a active crossover. does anyone know a decent crossover that isnt overly expencive that will allow me to have 3 sets of RCA input and output and let me set a HPF and LPF on all the channels, ones ive looked only let me do one hpf OR lpf which isnt what i need for the mids any imput would be good PSN: Rcp_soundz Good rule of thump is go by what fuse size is being used in these amps. RCP Audio
YUS! finnaly getting my windows tinted next week! so happy! Next thing im going to do is grab some black paint and re paint all the trim pieces so they are nice again. But after that i could lower it for about 400bucks, the thing im not sure about is that if i lower it as soon as i get the 400 I will be rolling on stocks for a wile until i get another 1500 for some nice wheels + tires. So would i be better off waiting till i have 2k ish then doing it all at once? or doing it step by step? it will take me 4 months to get the 1500 so is that too long to be rolling on stocks wile lowered? haha PSN: Rcp_soundz Good rule of thump is go by what fuse size is being used in these amps. RCP Audio
and when i say lowered i am going to go down so that the lowest part of the car is above 100mm (3.9") off the ground. If i go any lower then that I will have to get the car re certified which is an extra cost and they are kinda strict about it which is fair enough but i dont want to do it then have to raise it back up again coz they wouldnt pass it. But i think 100mm is low enough, I dont want to be replacing the front lip every month cause it gets bashed to bits every time i go into a driveway PSN: Rcp_soundz Good rule of thump is go by what fuse size is being used in these amps.
