Alpine Type X 12" Ported/Vented Box

i had a type x 12 about 6 months ago.. ran it on a jbl 1201.1 i tried the spec 1.3 net at 1st..it sucked ass... i did 2 cube foot net tuned to 30hz with 14" per cubic foot..and it was like adding a whole nother woofer in there...literally night and day difference

You like it low no doubt, but factor in that a sub needs a few weeks to break in, is not going to perform right just out of the box.

I build my own boxes and I am lucky to be able to use a $30,000 table saw and my buddies shop. He builds custom furniture for high end homes.

The cuts are perfect and the box fits together extremely clean! The paint is drying in the port and today I'll starts glueing it together

Outer dims

H: 15.5

L: 20

D: 13.5

Port

W: 1.5

L: 22.75

H: 14

I went with a 1.5" port instead of 1" because it seemed too tight for a 12 and I didn't want to risk any farting at higher volumes.

Wow man, you can't do that, entering the data it gives:

Fb = 41.267 Hz

Vb = 1.217 ft^3

You have lost your tuning and internal volume.

Yeahh I know I'm going to go with it and see how I like it. It was tuned at 35 with the 1" port but I wasnt feeling it at all it was tiny.
