Best way to connect to a projector?

Recommended Posts

Does the projector have a VGA in? If so, get the Xbox360 VGA cable, you can get them used at game stop for like 15 bucks and they work great! I used one for my homemade projector. And I I remember correctly, it the only true means of up converting the DVDs to hd.

You guys act like you have never clogged a toilet and ran around the bathroom frantically hoping it don't overflow.

Go with Composite. Just be sure to use quality cables. HDMI, being a standard, the cables within the particular standard will provide the same signal. The main benefit of HDMI is cable management and support for high quality sound (bitstream).

But he won't get HD if he uses composite but he will if he uses the VGA cable.

I was reading up on these a little right now and people say the cheap cables add a lot of ghosting in menus and some during action parts and also can not support 720p and up. I might just try the true microsoft one and see how it goes, Im gonna use it for netflix in my theatre and definately for some gaming, cant wait to go out and get one!

Yea don't get the cheap ones from eBay, get the actual Microsoft one. And I got true HD on my projector, it looked great at 120"!

This shot was taken before I had done any tuning up to my projector (its a DIY projector so there was a lot of tuning to get it right)
