p.flint
I know for certain I cannot be the only person with this issue. What helps? Sound deadener, vinyl, tail light mods? What?

Second Skin Rep Jon
Depends on what and where the rattles is. It could be as easy as just getting a little bit of closed cell foam and wrap it around wires or between the plastic trim and sheet metal. Quite often that is all that is rattling. So before you spend some $$$ on sound deadener, I would explore and see what exactly is rattling before proceeding. Quote Have a question about Second Skin? E-Mail me! MrFree
If im not mistaken Rattling also causes lose of sound quality and sound pressure,so even if your not rattling you should sound proof your set up!?!? I also am rattling bad I have 4 12's in a mini van, 99 dodge grand caravan to be exact.I looked up sound deadner and Ive come across alot of options..Peel and Seal,Dyno mat or other mats, foaming the insides of the corner panels, spray on bed liner,I thought about fiber glassing everything then laying thick carpet. Also my local car audio dealer said Fatmat is really good and $50 for 50"ft or something..Im trying for the cheap and best way, could anyone list cheapest to most costly ways to go about this for best sound.. p.flint
It's a 99 Monte Carlo. What is rattling is not the tail lights, but the bar that runs across the back with the reverse lights and all. Since my subs are facing the rear, I figured some sound deadener on the rear hatch would HELP, but I also wanted something I could do to that bar to end the rattling.
