extremeauto Posted March 7, 2012 Report Share Posted March 7, 2012 ok so i went and got metered tonight and did a 150.5 ....last time i went i had a dieng alt,and 1 k less watts...i dont gete it...it is way louder to the ears (even the guy who did my T.L said it was way louder) last time i did a 151.0 @ the dash...i have put in a bigger alt,bigger amp and a new hifonics mx-3,smothed out the insde of my box...all thing that you would think would make me gain...i did the 51 burping a 41hz tone and got the 50.5 on a 40hz tone ....on the other hand i went from a 49 music to a 50.2 on music...im kinda new so i dont really understand why i sound/ feel way louder but T.L lower.....any idea's? new amp is a massive DB8000 it claims 4k @.5 ohm ....the old amp was a hifonics xxthor 1995 Honda passport 3.2 4x4 Frankenstein on a budget ballistics sound deader (roof only so far) kenwood mp3 usb audio control 3 (upgrading) hifonics mx-3 3 sets of massive px5 5.25s 3 sets of massive tweets phonix gold 5.25 componets x2 massive nx4 nano 200x4 mids sony xplod 600x4 watt high's 2 Fi bl fully loaded box walled @31ish hz 13.2 cube box/wall massive DB8000 Excessive amaperge 250 amp alt wir extrnl regulator daul runs of xs power xpflex 0 gauge big 3 raptor 0 gauge power/ground wire full run suriken 45 amp hour x3 shriken bt-120 batts,interstate 1100CA semi batt scytek galaxy 2way alarm still upgradeing! Also changes in your system can have a mental difference to you that will allow you to percieve an improvement TL dont lie but the frequency having possibly change may account for this percieved difference to the ear as well. Try diff frequencies and make sure your peak hasnt changed. Obviously it shouldnt have hurt though.
