My Dad used to have a 2010 (2009?) ForTwo, whichever model year was the first to make it to the States. It was fun, but I could NOT stand the transmission. Slowest-shifting thing on earth. Did they re-map it or anything on the Brabus model? That's a sweet looking one, by the way.

yeah it's massively improved. My previous one was the non-turbo one and that didn't have the smoothest or fastest changes. The gearbox for the US is a little different and there are numerous complaints from people driving the european model to how much worse it is. (due to the us box needing a 'park' option they needed to make changes)

the brabus has a faster map for both engine and gearbox and once you know how to change properly, it can be a pleasure to drive!

love installs in these but good lord that looks like a bitch to work on

being my second smart it was super easy to do but the very first time it wasn't exactly easy. The worst part was running the speaker wire to the doors as I settled on 12 gauge and needed separate runs of both.

Should get pretty loud in that little thing :)

 for videos

haha, well in the mean time here is a vid of my old smart just after the first system was chucked in (before it was ripped out and sold, it had more mids and a new deck!)

that was a similar sort of system in terms of power with an alpine mrp-m500 on bass and mrp-f300 on mids and highs with (in the end) 4 pairs of mids (one of which were componnets) an additional pair of tweeters on top of the dash and a pair of bullet tweeters. The wire you can see in the video is a pair of jump leads I had on me, not poor wiring! and the bit hanging from the roof is a ps2 eyetoy which I was using as a back up camera for my car pc.

Fronts are actually really simple.

Door pops right off.

Hell you can actually change every body panel in 30min.

Color changes are very simple on those cars.

First brabus ive seen.

it's true! the way the car is designed is incredibly clever!

talk about easy to deaden

haha, yup!

That looks like a nice little car. I bet its loud with that system.

thanks! yeah it is fairly, but I really wanted more of an sql sort of system this time around as I had more than my fair share of attention from the cops with my old system

I would totally get one of these if I lived in a big city. Hardcore parallel parking ftw.

I now have 2 Smart cars that I would drive. This one^^ And

this one

Thats cool. Im way too old to be upset by shit like that. Your name is winston. Your own parents hated you even before you were born.

My penis is bigger than your penis

I'm far from loud and my roof/headliner flaps around like Adam's ass on a windy day. I think it depends more on the structure of the vehicle.

that is insane, but the new one has so much electronics that a conversion is not as simple as with the older cars!

If I were to end up going for a performance monster, I would do a mr2 conversion in a smart roadster instead. Being so low makes it handle like a true go-kart!

Thanks Steve! They're quite big from the inside and the boot is massive for such a little car too!

Thanks
