Wattage Help

does any one have a link or something were i can found out the real wattage of one of my amps? is there even a way like with a dmm or something

a/c voltage squared divided by the resistance at normal listening volume

on a DMM, when you're setting the gains and all that, check the voltage coming from the channels. take that number, square it, then divide by the resistance. for instance...my amps are set at about 55 volts. 55^2 is 3025. divide that by 1 (cuz it's wired to 1 ohm) and it's still 3025. which is good cuz they're 3000 watt amps :P

i have a chart that has a list of wattage from 100 to 3000 and what the voltage should be from the channels with 1, 1.33, 1.5, 2, 2.67, and 4 ohm resistances and what the voltage should be from the channel with the given resistance. if you want a copy shoot me a PM. it's handy
