Ive been having a rough couple of weeks (mid-terms,got fired,bit by a raccon,etc..) I finally have the money to build a box for my 2 12's. Yes I know that is extremely pathetic cause mdf only cost 30.00 dollars. Anyway sad story aside. Please help me. I have 2 Orion xtr 124's rms 250/500 and a Coustic600se powering them. I have 2 stock battery's plus a shuriken SK-BT20 and a quarter farad cap. So I think I they will have clean power, so I would like to build the best spl box I can for an 03 Lancer Oz.. I have been trying to search and read online so I dont have to bug you guys with another box building thread, but I have not had any luck. Could one of you guys find it in your heart to help me with this, and I promise to never start a thread asking for help again. I'll start helping all the noobs that come in and need help or something to pay this forward. Thank you to who ever answer's this, and I wish everyone a satisfying build and a good day.

Could anybody tell me what the freq is for this box..? I have made a box off of the Orion specs could anyone tell me if I stayed at 40Hz.I have no idea how to calc freq

Ok so here is a suggestion, based on mfr specs 3 cubic feet @ 40 Hz, gave you high port area (specially for these little subs):

Enclosure Specifications:

Fb = 40.045 Hz

Vb = 3.062 ft^3

Subwoofer Mounting = Front Mounted

External Height = 15 in

External Width = 38.5 in

External Depth = 14.75 in

Port Width = 3 1/2 in

Cut Sheet List:

* All Dimensions in Inches.

* Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.

External Enclosure Parts:

Front = 34 1/4 x 13 1/2

Back = 38 1/2 x 13 1/2

Left & Right Sides:

Side 1 = 13 1/4 x 13 1/2

Side 2 = 14 x 13 1/2

Top & Bottom = 38 1/2 x 14 3/4

L Port Internal Assembly Parts:

Front to Back = 9 3/4 x 13 1/2

Extension = 3 3/4 x 13 1/2

Assembly guide (GENERIC dimensions);

You can do a rectangular brace between the subs if you want.Let me know any questions...

thank you sir for a coherent answer I appreciate that. This design is what I was debating on using. I was thinking of 35Hz. The one I posted I thought that maybe it would get louder with more port area..8" wide 11"long and round the corner on the way in to the port from the box...Thanks

They suggest 40Hz but certaily 35 would help with the bottom end (let me know if need that changed), the port area per cubic foot I set is nearly 16, bearing in mind that your sub's Xmax is about 12mm I'd say that is way more than enough, if you want to check, use the more accurate Richard Small's method for port area calculation.
