noticed this when i was working under the hood of my Tahoe the other day, is this normal or a problem? the belt is the belt that DC Power provides with their dual alt bracket

is it me or does anyone else not see anything wrong?

first picture, the black residue on the stock alt is coming off the belt. i asked if this was normal or not.

i just never noticed it before

Ahhhh its hard to see it. Is the belt walking around on the pully? Causing it to fray and spit belt shat everywhere?

I see the spot hes talking about. I wouldnt worry about it, just wipe it off.
