PUNKYOU007
How bout this. Im changing up the whole design and going to try a bandpass box. It was suggested to me to build 4.5 cubes sealed side and 6 cubes ported..90sq in of port tuned around 47Hz...any thoughts? Doethepaperboy "Bars of Pain" Doethepaperboy "Hero Remix" C. PUNKYOU007
How do the specs sound. If I totally change how I was going to setup the trunk then the room is there. But I have never designed or built a bandpass so just looking for opinions from guys who have more exp than I do. Doethepaperboy "Bars of Pain" Doethepaperboy "Hero Remix" C. pa-pa-platypus
ive heard mixed review and had mixed experiences with those subs in 4th orders..some have done em and hated it and others have loved em.. id leave the box accessible on the inside somehow so you can play with the chambers a bit if youre not liking the response..but i say go for it altho i might shrink that sealed to 2 cubes (seen alotta people runes 2 cubes per 15 in 4th) This isn't teeball. YOU DO NOT GET A TROPHY JUST BECAUSE YOU SHOW UP. Put the work in and then maybe get the respect when it has been earned 151.6 with single 12 at 41 hz 153.2 with 2 12's at 43 hz power: dd m4
412 CVX
make a little removable panel/window so you can access the sub when need be. and make the port fire into that package tray. you'll save some volume if you can manage to do the ports external or mostly external. make the port removable if possible so you can play with the tuning Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs. PUNKYOU007
Most deff. I am trying to talk this guy into dropping the money on some lexan for a window. And the way I have it designed now the port will be 99% external. Doethepaperboy "Bars of Pain" Doethepaperboy "Hero Remix" C. Arson d(-__-)b beer sucks...but i can bring some jose cuervo. n8ball2013
You gonna try porting through the rear deck? I think that would be sick. But of course does his wallet allow it :-) THERE IS NO BUILD LOG! 1998 Chevy Silverado ext cab Alpine CDA-9887 4 Team Fi 15s 2 Ampere Audio TFE 8.0 2 Ampere Audio 150.4 3 Digital Designs CS6.5 component sets Dual Mechman 370XP Elite alternators inbound! 8 XS Power d3400 6 XS power d680 Second Skin Stinger Tsunami Wiring Sky High A Real Voltmeter not a piece of shit stinger. AMI CUSTOMS
Just my 2 cents These subs HATE sealed enclosures, and if you are gonna run around the 4 cube range per sub like you mentions due to space, then ported is the way to go. Stay at 18 sq inches per cube and they will be fine. I just did a build about a month ago for a colorado 8 cubes net, 2 HDC3 15s and with a AQ3500d.1 and he does 154s(outlaw) on stock electrical plus 1 batt. But I also know a thing or two about these woofers lol. Take it or leave it.
