weshole Posted April 9, 2012 Report Share Posted April 9, 2012 These comps have not changed in over 5 years other than the grills that come with them. I better correct myself on this. After one of my buddies who happens to be a former dealer and is contemplating re-upping his dealing them talked to one of the engineers (for lack of a better term) over there, they did change the magnet on these to a more standard magnet and did away with the deeper Neo magnet. First for mounting depth issues and 2nd for the inability to dissipate heat after they were worked hard. ( i have the older ones with the neo magnets and have not had issues) RE claims the standard magnet structure not only helped installation for depth, and helped cooling, but at the same time, increased power handling. All other parts on the comps remain unchanged from the 1st gen. I hate being misleading so sorry about that. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
