Few updates, subs are here, rounded over the port and the top/front edge of the beauty panel, getting all the wires cut and ring terminals crimped for the sib connections.

Port painted, used a black latex that's meant to fill in and cover anything basically, fairly thick stuff covered everything up nicely.

Getting everything ready to hit with the Rustoleum bedliner.

Wanted to heat up the garage and help dry it out, so cranked this up and turned the place into a sweat shop.

Aaaaand first coat done, now to wait a couple hours and hit it with coat two. Hopefully the second coat goes on better, but first oat of this stuff I really had to slather it on to make it noticeable, it's really runny stuff and soaked in real quick.

2nd coat is on and I'm feeling a bit better about it. There still might be some trouble spots, but going to try to take care of those with just the brush as the roller and pan are toast.

I think the first can of Rustoleum bedliner I used was bad. Bought a second can and applicators today, shook the can worse than Britney Spears or Michael Jackson shook their kids, and the paint was thiiiiiiiick this time. Like normal paint that someone mixed some saw dust into to give it grit thick, whereas the other can was really runny like lightly thickened water paint.

3rd and 4th coats are applied now, anything else is just going to have to be touch ups with a brush because I went through almost the whole can doing these coats.

Is the bedliner to help brace the box or for looks? I like the way things are going in this.

Looks and help protect the box, I don't want to have to worry about setting something on top of it and scratching a nice shiny finish, or ripping up some carpet if I had went those routes.

Aaaalllllllmost there, put a little more paint on earlier tonight and want to make sure it's dry so I'm waiting until tomorrow to put it in. But in the meantime, I went ahead and put all the wiring in place, ran the mounting screws in and trimmed off the paint/wood that bunched up so I will get a good seal, and moved everything out of the way so I can back in tomorrow and get everything hooked up inside. Just have to vacuum out the box and maybe take the leaf blower to it so I can be sure I knock out any loose sawdust or other particles before I put the subs in.

This is just a little thing, but I HATE when you hook up your wiring to the amp, and later if you have to unhook it you get a million little copper strands all over the place, so did this:

Looks good man, like the stealthness with the cover over it all. Cool idea of soldering the wire as well.
