Because of my vehicles power limitation(explorer v6) ie can't find anyone to build an alternator bracket for the 2 extra alternators I need to run 3 total, I am limited to just 2 3400d's instead of 4. So the question is this: How much power is needed minimum to make the sp4's work properly(i didn't know how to word it). I can either go with 3400rms each to 2 18's, or 1700rms each to 4 18's. I'll have about 6.5-7ft exactly each. I wanted to go with 4 18's and with 4 amps3400d's(soundstream dtr towers) but electrical isn't there, so with 2x3400d'[email protected] each, what do you think? Is 1700rms each enough? 2 18's or 4 18's? BTL N2's are fine for daily. The N3's are SPL only. The N2's have an RMS of 2000w & the SP4 is 2500w RMS. With 1700w, you're falling shorter from the RMS of the SP4 than if you were doing the BTL's. The BTL's are beasts too man. You'll be happy w/ them too.
