Wow no comments. Ok then! Well I guess I'll just post for me then.

I got some big things working, ideas wise, and I'll put some pics up in a bit. Going to change some of the design a little bit. Amps are ordered, with exception of the 1.2500's. I had to stop, cause my first priority was to pay off my credit cards and I kind of got carried away and got away from that. So, for now, I've got PLENTY to get me going. I can even get the sub enclosure built, and ready to go, and by that time I'll have the money together for the amps, or amp (Hint total of both amps in one). But we'll see what funds look like at that point in time.

So I'll be back a bit later when I have a little more time.

Morning has been disasterous so I'll try and get some stuff posted after lunch! I literally just got my computer back working again! SIGH!! HOWEVER, I think when you guys see what I've got up my sleeve..............:peepwall:.......................you'll see it was worth the wait!

REMEMBER, I'm only in design stages right now. Building will start as soon as equipment is in and I have some god damn time SMH!! Soon, very very soon!

I'll be back later!

Ok let's see if I can get this going here. SO I redesigned the amp rack on the back seat. I'm going to 3 amps now instead of 4. I'm doing the two 4.600's, one for front stage, and then the second for rear. Then I'm doing a Rubicon 1.1600 for the mid bass! Here's a couple sketch ups of the different layouts I'm looking at.

This is the 4.600's on the bottom and the 1.1600 on the top in the middle flanked by the positive and ground distribution blocks.

This is basically just flipped. The 4.600's on top and the 1.1600 on the bottom.

I think I like the second one better, I think it flows a bit better. But I like the thought of the db's being on the bottom too. So I'm not sure yet what I'll do with it.

Next I got out and took a good look at the center console and dash area!

This was my first thought, trying to keep the head unit where it was.

Then I got to thinking about it, and thought to myself SELF..................this thing is going to be custom anyway, why not get completely custom!?! So this is what I came up with!

It's going to sit something like this:

with a console that goes from the center seat, to the top. Made of fiberglass and wood. Under the tablet will go the head unit! Under the head unit, will go the HVAC controls, if I don't decide to put them in the headliner!!

This is my only issue with that placement:

DSC05642.jpg

I pretty much either loose that vent, or I can try and relocate it. My thought is that I can either put it down in the console, loose it all together, or that piece above the vent, where the head unit is currently at, is removable. When I do the customization, I can put the vent up there and relocate the ducting. Now there's another one on the other side of the glove box, and if I'm good with it, I can re locate that one in the same spot so they look uniform. I'll have to figure that out later. I may not need it since there's one on the left side of the tablet, and the one on the right side of the dash too. So elimination may be ok.

Now here are some pics of the area for the console build!

Here's where it gets pretty slick I think! Check this out! Looking between the big seats, the center console seat back. Now I'm trying to retain the function of the center seat for the most part. I know with a big ol console on the floor in front of it, it'll be hard for anyone to sit there but never the less, I'm trying.

Now look at the back side, and use your imagination!

GET IT YET!!!!

WELL HERE YOU GO!!!!

10inchmonitor.jpg

That's right! 10"s of sexy for the back seat viewing pleasure! Those long camping rides will forever be quiet!!!

So I have some sketch up work to do yet. I want to do a couple of options for the console portion. I want to do one that uses the center seat to function as one, using the back of the seat to house the monitor. Then I want to do one that makes a complete new center console eliminating the seat, and flows from the dash to the back of the current center console and has the monitor low but still angled up. Swooping style I guess.

So I'll start working on those!

I have a few deliveries that should be here sometime this week! I'll keep you all posted as things come in.

Thoughts, comments, suggestions!?!?

I like the second sketch better and it does flow better. I need to check the Tahoe and see how hot my Rubicon gets, don't know how much space you have between the seats and the rack.
