Doing so will allow you to maintain the functionality of your center console and act as a theft deterrent. Out of sight, out of mind. I need to check the Tahoe and see how hot my Rubicon gets, don't know how much space you have between the seats and the rack. What do you mean by space between the seats and the rack? That actually is 2" counter sunk into the seat. Leaving about 2" of foam on top of the fiberglassed cavity. Then in the cavity, I'l do a piece of 1/2" or something like that to mount the amps too. I could make it go out further than that in the back cause I have plenty of room to work with. My thought was actually to raise the amps up about a half inch off the board, then put fans in from the bottom to allow air to flow in and out. I just didn't depict all that on the diagram. Like I said it was a "quick" drawing. However, the rear windows will all be seriously dark tint too. But I know what you mean. I'm thinking of that as well. Especially since it's not used all the time. Can always take the panel off and put it in the pocket behind the front seat when it's used. Maybe a velcro attachment or something like that. Actually was just about to leave for lunch when I got called in for a rush job on a file here at work! While I was doing that, I got an intercom saying I've got a huge delivery that is heavy and could i come get it! Well right now it's Christmas in April, so I said HELLYA!! This is what I got!
