I have a cadence ceq773 http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_41255_Cadence-CEQ-773.html Pros: Fully separate subwoofer and speaker volume Cons: Distorts on subwoofer gain at around 40hz? so it says My budget is going to be $150 OR LOWER What do you guys recommend, and it NEEDS to have INDEPENDENT volume controls for subwoofer and speaker volume Thanks! irpirate Posted April 3, 2012 Report Share Posted April 3, 2012 depending on how you set the eq up you can fade out the mids/highs. also i put the clarion eq on the smd dd1 with everything flat, volume and sub are both clean all the way up. Thats good to know because I got my eq DD-1'd and it gets distorted extremely quickly and easily on the gain, so thats why I want to upgrade. I have a ~ $2000 system and I am saving for an ms-8. If it is important or you want it bad enough I say to hell with a budget. You just have to be patient.
