Looking for any advantages

Recommended Posts

I plan on running two sets of RF T3 components. I'm wondering if there are any benefits running two 2channel amps, one for mids, one for highs..than running one four channel.

no real benefit. 4 channel will save space. might be able to get more powerful 2 channel amps but you shouldn't need that.

If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.

ok ...

benefits of running 2 2-channel amps would be for a 2 way active setup ...

smaller amp on the highs (tweeters) and larger amp on the midbass drivers ...

or 2 identical amps for each passive component set ...

this mainly depends on how you want to set this up ...

My question would be why you think you need 2 component sets up front ??

Depending on your power needs you may want to use a 4ch amp bridged on mids and a nice sized 2ch amp on highs but it depends on what your personal preference will be in regards to how much power you want to run.

I feel there is no such thing as too much power and the more the better, with more power you will hear and feel dynamics you can't get out of smaller lower powered amps it's one of those you need to hear it first hand to understand kind of things.

EDIT: With more power you have lower distortion, lower noise floor and an overall cleaner sound.

It is actually a space saver for me to go with two seperate amps..I can mount them under my seats n not in the trunk

I want it to be loud and didnt really think one 6.5" mid and one tweeter on each door would do it..I'm not real sure I understand what you said either..2 2-channel amps or 2 identical amps? If I use two amps, they will be identical..

Why would I use a 4ch bridged on mids, why not just use a 2 channel?

JL Audio HD, Alpine PDX, PPI Phantom, Polk audio PA, Hertz HDP are all class D amps that can be fitted almost anywhere with the smaller footprint and since they are class d they won't run as hot as class a/b, some of the them also allow you to bandpass them for running 3way active if you choose to go that route in the future.

tweeter amp - no more that 75 x2 really needed to sound good and loud ...

midbass driver amp - 150 x2 or better should be needed to get those frequiencies out ...

I am a Sound Quality Audiophile type Guy ... I think of better sound and loud at the same time ...

I'm not a guy that wants my bass drounding out my mids and highs ...

So I recommend to sound loud and clear ... not loud and obnoxious ...
