Right, so if you don't go all the way to the rear end what would be the depth (length)? Also you can make a slant in the bottom, is just that is harder to build.

At 25" Deep you can get 15 3/4" height

You would need that slant then, 10" is too much to take away, Maybe a step would be easier to build.

And your proposing to have the sub and port firing towards the license plate, or into the cabin? Also are you trying to keep it simple meaning just try to build the box in between the smallest with and not bothering to open up the design to the full available width once the tire wells are cleared? Also to be noted the bottom of the box is going to be using 3/4" "Xterra" it's treated MDF that's waterproof. This old cars always seem to find away to get some moisture in the trunk, the bottom of the last box got ruined from being wet.

build a 4th order..with subs in a box in the 62" area facing up..with the ported portion of the box starting there and running forward up onto and forward through bumped up portion of the trunk.. not sure how to explain what it would look like..but basically it would look like a "whistle" if you can visualize that

You may need to bother to take any space available if you want a front firing design, the rear firing may not be possible since you need 9" of free airspace in front of the port to avoid detuning.

Ok so it looks like basically I have to calculate the cubic feet of an enclosure shaped kind of like the old design and then you'd be able to help me calculate the port dimensions.

Alright so this is where I'm at. I calculated the area on each side behind the wheel wells to the back of the trunk to be almost exactly a cube on each side. So if I add that to the demensions between the trunk hinges I have a total volume of about 10.2 cu ft. which includes the displacement of subs. that's assuming the height is 15" all around. The only problem I have left is that at 15" high there isn't enough room to mount the subs on the front side of the box. My thought was a wedge like you said since I have 17" of height on the front side. I don't know how much of a difference that would make on overall Volume to have the extra 2" on the front side that slopes down to the 15" on the rear side. So what I need help with is the port dimensions so that I can get around 34HZ or so. I don't mind it ending up a tad lower, but I don't really want it over 35HZ. I'd want the woofers and port on the front side of the box with the port in the middle like you had it. Could you help me come up with the port dimensions?
