White Lightning
If the amp has a internal crossover with a bass knob, then why do you think you need the Clarion line driver ?? What head unit will you be running this setup with ?? Watch the bass
If the amp has a internal crossover with a bass knob, then why do you think you need the Clarion line driver ?? What head unit will you be running this setup with ?? To pump up his weak H/U preout!? Think his prob is the lClarion put 7 v out and the amp accept from 200 mv to 6 volt´s. White Lightning
Guess if you would have said to give more control to the driver ... it would have made more scence to me. Thats why I had a Paremetric EQ om my system all those years ... but to boost headunit voltage ... is something I would not do ... gives a great reason to have a DD1 distortion detector ... theres gonna be alot of it ... My suggestion would be to buy a adequate head unit to do the job correctly ... Why would anyone want to amplify bad voltage ??? I do not understand this at all ... Give me a clean 4 volts anyday !!! If that doesn't fit your needs, Your amplifier is not strong enough to do its job anyways ... t-money
i have a pioneer deh-p8400bh and it have 4 volt preouts and i use a line driver to bump it up to 8 volts for my amps. its not a dumb idea. the amps seem to like it the sound better. especially the 4 channel. no more light hiss at all under any condition. ALPINE408
If you need more than 4 volt preouts there is something in your system you are lacking Quote Have you ever had your woofers blown?
t-money
i dont need it. it didnt get any louder. it just sounded cleaner. like the amp wasnt working as hard. which it isnt since it isnt having to offset the gain itself. my aq's are 8v - .02 i believe Quote 2002 ford focus hatch pioneer DEH-P8400bh infinity kappa 6.5 components front and rear XS Power D1200 Shuriken BT-100 audioque 120.4 2 15 inch audioque HDC3 D2 2 audioque 2200d big 3 mechman 220a alt with external regulator 479-418-3056
ALPINE408
If it got. Cleaner it has nothing to do with the 8 volts your gain is not a volume knob all it does is match the output to your input so if you double voltage the gain has to come down and works just as hard as it did before If it got. Cleaner then the line driver had a a better signal or cleaned up the signal from your deck Quote Have you ever had your woofers blown?
