Subwoofers arent moving all that much ?

Recommended Posts

ok i got 2 sundown audio E-12s on a Rockford Fosgate t-1500DBCP in a 3.25 CU/ft box tuned 32hz with 2 4" aero ports and it does not seem like the subwoofers are moving all that much, does it take some time for the subwoofers to soften up and they will move more?

amp is tuned with DD1 so its putting out full clean power

they seem loud but besides this ive only heard 2 rockford p1s or 2 btl 15s to HUGE differences and dont really know where these would stand in the spectrum haha

Those come in d2 and d4, so i'm going to ask what ohms and also coils in series or parallel? than i'm going to go out on a limb and say i have heard subs in a ported encloure playing at the tuned freq will move the least amount compared to other freq. but i could be wrong on that one.

you say the amp was tuned with a dd1, how bout the rest of the system? if your headunit was clipping the amp will clip early.

HU was also checked with DD1 no clipping anywhere

will breaking in the subwoofer make it have a little more excursion and changes how low the subwoofer gets and sounds ? and also how long does it usually take to break in these subs ?
