Damn SMD is getting too big for me to keep up with all the builds!

She is coming along quite nicely. It is crazy how much loss their is without a strong vanity panel / sealed wall baffle. I went through pretty much the same thing when I got mine sealed off. Night and day.

What worked for me was to make the template to seal off the sides and top- then do each piece seperately. If you have issue with the depth of the box not making it to the b-pillar, you can always just add more layers to get your depth. If you cut it with a bit more than 1/8th of an inch clearance, you can put weather stripping around the panels and then press the hell out of them to get a good seal.

Again- hate that I missed this until now. Looks good and looks like you are having fun.

Thanks man! That's actually what I was kind of comping up with in my mind. I just need to get some cardboard to make the templates. I'm hoping once I seal everything off It'll make a huge difference . Everytime I seal a spot off, the lows get better1

I wish I could, but I have to do simple trim panels so I can access my back door's locks lol.

Update. Got started on sealing off the wall. Foamed the top and made some trim panel templates. Should have the panels done by Friday.

The old L brackets that weren't holding up. Screws kept backing out.

started taking the woofers out for baffle paint.

The new 2 1/2 inch L brackets, real strong like.

Also used some plumbers straps to secure the wall (somewhat) lol. Ignore the Rats nest wiring. Gonna fix that after the Redlands show once I get my paycheck.

Since I'm a weak shit, mounting these bitches by myself was a hard task. Shit took me like 3 1/2 hours since I fucked up and mounted before wiring.
