SWIFT
I figured up your box dimensions and port guessing 0.25 cubes displacement per sub (close enough, i can correct if you're anal about it). to end up with a 30 hz tuning like you're looking for the port would need to be 26.5 inches long leaving you at 17.528 cubes after all displacements and 14.6 square inches of port per cube. nothing about that box is wrong per say... but i personally would do it.. and damn sure wouldn't run 1500 watts per Q in that size box. Just be careful with it, you could easily overheat or bottom out a sub in it. Thanks for your input!! I just figured the box being in the middle of their optimal recommended volume with decent port area and tuned low would be a beast in the low 30hz range. I can definetly go smaller on the enclosure just wanted to get the most from the setup. Not really looking for huge meter numbers just a lowend monster. john253a
1.5" all round, no extra bracing required and you should be able to through close to full power at it
SWIFT
Looks killer, The one I did was subs on pass side, port on driver side. Does doing port in center change or effect sound at all. My truck peaks at 30-31hz BTW. john253a
I normally use this style if 2 or more amps are use I only use common chambers if all on same amp And on large boxes to elimate unnessery bracing and cost This may suit you as no bracing is require
SWIFT
Ok here is my new design. I will go ahead with this one and should sound good on music the way my truck is. My last box was sub forward port to driver side and it hammered the lows. Looking for same results here just alot more of it. Not nearly as big as the other idea, lol 14.4cu at 29hz with 15in of port per cube backs seats are out and it will replace this that I designed and built last year for a 15in FI Q. This one was 3.6cu tuned at 29hz Edited April 13, 2012 by SWIFT Quote 2012 F250 Lariat 6.7, lifted on 22's and 35's 4 DSS Ethos 18's walled tuned low 2 Ampere Audio 7500.1's, Ampere 125.4 Rockford Pro Audio front stage 9 batteries, Mechman Elite 370 alt Team DSS, Team Ampere Audio 2014 Meca Mod 3 TN State champ / 3rd place Mod 3 World Finals
SWIFT
Ok if I do my last design the subs will be 6in from the roof, I know I would not be able to access them without removing box but would this cause any other issues. I could go subs forward but they may unload into the port. I can basically go with the sub forward port forward design but will this produce the low clean loud sound I want without actually walling it off. Truck is way too nice to do that. Beauty panels foam wrapped could give the wall effect but will that suffice with no major seal Quote 2012 F250 Lariat 6.7, lifted on 22's and 35's 4 DSS Ethos 18's walled tuned low 2 Ampere Audio 7500.1's, Ampere 125.4 Rockford Pro Audio front stage 9 batteries, Mechman Elite 370 alt Team DSS, Team Ampere Audio 2014 Meca Mod 3 TN State champ / 3rd place Mod 3 World Finals
