Lost Legacy
Everything the others said. Little things such as keeping tyres inflated, having clean filters (oil, fuel, air). Correct wheel allignment is a good one too. Have just done all of those to my car and is making a noticable difference even if i give the car a thrash here and there Quote Honda Accord SirT + Mad sounds = Awesomeness VTEC go BRAAAAAPPPP http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/141261-99-accord-sirt-sq-build/ Alright well i never done the big 3 so i see in my vision my truck on fire... Trigg
http://www.hho4free.com/ Quote there is some VERY hard headed people out there. Anyone who says a DD-1 isnt necessary is also saying an O-scope isnt necessary. Anyone who says an O-scope IN THE MINIMUM isnt necessary, is a noob. Forget the DD-1 for a minute, any reputable installer will at LEAST use an O-scope. Those guys in that thread are clowns. Hard headed clowns. kirill007
Lower your car - better aerodynamics won't help in the city. Keep you car washed/waxed/clayed - once again, aerodynamics CERTAINLY doesn't help at all. Not even 0.1MPG Clean air filter That works Clean injectors Only works if they are dirty. Clean spark plugs Barely helps, only if they are over the limit A chip would help - but get a better one like superchips or upsolute or something. Cheap chips just dump a ton of extra fuel into the engine making it run rich. THIS IS THE BEST OPTION If you have a manual car, shift lower, but not so low as to bog down the engine Go to http://pure-gas.org/ and find an ethanol free gas station. Ethanol has lower btu/gallon then straight gasoline, so without it - your engine uses less gas to accomplish the same thing Tire pressure - low rolling resistance tires would help too This helps quite a bit. Lower final drive Lower stall torque converter (if automatic) Drive smooth, look far ahead. If traffic slows down ahead of you, just let off the gas and coast. Don't 'hurry up and stop' Most important thing to do. Look at the red parts. Like dkahns said, the dimpling will help but it's just not easy to do. And noone does it.
