evermaxx
Driving down road and system went off, thought it was protect for I power off and powered on radio, still nothing. I leave it off till I get home and when I get home there is no lights on the amp. I opened my hood to check the fuse and its good, and fuses on amp are good. Lil corossen on termials on battery so I cleaned them, still nothing. Seems as if the power wire just died. Its 4g true rockford. Checked gounds and end terminals all good.. So what can it be? Guest
how do you know the fuse is good? sometimes it'll go bad even if you look through the little window. use a multimeter to confirm there's 12+v going through the + of the amp, and same for the remote wire. Maxim
Sounds like the wire's dead. Might have to buy new wire if it's no longer under warranty. Rockford generally has a good warranty on their wire in case it dies on you. Quote wtf is lolcats? I'd def get a fat hooker if i had to resort to that kinda thing. I feel like they'd be grateful and work harder. Also its more bang for my buck, more real estate for my dollar if you catch my drift. its like the Costco of streetwalkers. I was hoping for 150 . Alright, also it touched metal and didn't spark. That's what got me thinking the power wire pooped out. SnowDrifter
DMM to wire at battery DMM to wire at fuse, battery side DMM to wire at fuse, amplifier side DMM to wire at amp Post back with info Edit: wire doesn't "poop out." At the end of the day, it's a chunk of metal that conducts electricity. Unless you ripped it in half using it as a tow rope or decided to cut it or something - it's something else giving you the problem.
