How big of battery do i need?

I'm looking to add an extra battery to help power my amp. I am going to be getting a 1700 watt amp. How big of battery do I need to be able to help power it or does it matter?

What vehicle? I would start by getting the biggest XS Power battery you can fit in the stock location. Depending on what fits, that may be all you need.

which would be better, having a big kinetic to power whole car or having normal battery for car and one in back for subs or kinetic up front and in back?

I am on 2200w rms and just have a stock battery and 110 amp stock alt. I charge my battery every night with a http://www.geniuschargers.com/ and I have been fine for about 6 months. Voltage drops to 12.2v full tilt.
