shitty spl meter or not loud music?

Recommended Posts

wow they once sold these at walmart for 15 bux (prolly still do)

i remember my buddy had one of these forever n evr ago..

his 2 fi btl 15s on 4k read a killer 129db lol

junk meter like others said not accurate and same microphone in your cellphone

yeah its a shitty meter cuz my system peaked at 103 dbs using an app i downloaded on my phone and was hitting 127 directly against the cone of my door speakers....its just like when a person (like me) that has a very deep voice talks at the same volume as everyone else is harder to hear/understand therefore the microphone is having extreme dffuculties picking up the lows from the subs and not registering...imo return it pay the extra for termlab

meters are a joke, buddy had one and it read a constant 126 db in my truck with vocals only, and with subs on my truck would do mid 150s on the termlab, but it didnt change the boomstick score none!. So my truck should be way more than enough to peak the meter out, which it did not.

Just to show the inaccuracy of the boom stick meter..

was playing with my buddies when he hooked me up with a free oil change. I even tried the thing in the legal dbdrag/bassrace position where the Termlab meter is usually placed.

You can tell how far off the score is between these 2 vids.

and here is one of my 149.9db bassrace runs, which is a constant 30second average on the Termlab meter. To do a perfect 149.9 db score generally you need to be around a 152db burp (give or take on a few variations).

The termlab is the meter used by EVERY audio competition format in the USA, and also used by NASA, so it aint no toy like the boomstick!

Depends how serious you are, lots of tinkering and using the term lab can really help.

And the fact more than one person agrees does not make it a circle jerk, it makes it a bukkake scene and you're in the middle ;)

Chick took 3 shots of Jager, and then, pissed in my mouth..
