Good enuf for a 15'' SMD?!?!

Recommended Posts

I will be running a 15'' D1 SMD in the trunk of my Grand Prix @ .5 ohms off a SAZ3500, a XS D3400, a XS D3100, an Iraggi 300a AD244 alt, with 4 runs of 0ga (2+ and 2-) and was wondering if the dimensions are good enuf. The tuning frequency is a little high, but I was going to try adding a 10'' extension with a coupler to go down to 29htz. I am more concerned with the overall specs. Thank ya'll for any advice!

Is the sub built yet?

Why are you wiring to .5?

also, is there a particular reason you are going with the flared port as opposed to the slot vent?

your tuning is fine.that things a beast i bet it still reaches down and jiggles your balls more than you would think. tuning stupid low is another common misconception. You dont need to tune super low to play low if you have good gear.

Cool, I was thinking 35ish is right in the middle. And I saw somewhere you don't need as much port area per sq. ft. with aeroports. And they save a little space since I have barely over 4 cu ft gross. The specs for the SMD say 2-4 cu ft..... but it also says 7000w max, lol.

Got another batt coming, and I will have a voltmeter at the amp inputs. Is that what you mean by good gear?

No I mean you have a good quality woofer. But your enclosure will play a large part as well.
